Developers Tangible Media Group at MIT have unveiled a prototype analog interface inFORM, which may present a 3D-object into a plurality of small square columns.

InFORM device represents a table with 900 columns of square section , each of which is let down by a separate drive . Data processing of any 3D- object connected to the computer device breaks it into many small sites and transmits to each drive on each of them. As a result, the table is created inFORM rough machined projection model or dataset.
Furthermore, on the landscape formed of columns , the user can be projected by using light , or an image on the projection . Also, the analog interface may handle the real-time mode and display data received from the gesture control device , such as Kinect.
InFORM creators of Tangible Media Group believe that the possibility of analog interface could be useful when working with geographic data and maps. In the demo video shows how you can use inFORM to illustrate the form of mathematical functions and statistical graphs . Another application of the device , according to developers , visualization may be planning , architectural design and industrial design objects.
