Customs regulations in Denmark

Import and export of currency is unlimited. When entering from countries outside the EU, cash sums of more than 50 000 Danish kroner, or travelers' checks worth over 112,000 euros (approximately 15,000 euros) are subject to mandatory declaration for subsequent export from the country.

Persons aged over 17 years arriving from countries outside the customs zone of the EU (including Greenland, as well as Åland, Canary, the Channel and the Faroe Islands), is allowed duty free import of 200 cigarettes or 100 cigarillos or 50 cigars or 250 grams of tobacco, up to 1 liter of spirits (alcohol content over 22%), or up to 2 liters of fortified wines and liqueurs (alcohol content less than 22%) of table wine - up to 2 liters, less than 500 grams of coffee or 200 g coffee extract (for persons over 15 years); to 100 grams of tea or 40 g of tea extract, and 50 ml of spirits and 250 ml eau de toilette, as well as items of personal use of the rate of 1350 DKK per adult.
At the entrance to the territory of the States - the EU Member States to persons aged over 17 years is allowed duty-free importation of up to 10 liters of spirits (alcohol content over 22%) or 20 liters of fortified wine or 90 liters of table wine (but no more than 60 liters of sparkling wine) or 110 liters of beer and 800 cigarettes or 400 cigarillos or 200 cigars and 1 kg of tobacco. Special rules apply regarding the importation of tobacco products from Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia - to them can be found on the official site.
Without permission is prohibited importation of drugs and narcotic drugs, medications, firearms and ammunition, explosives, pornography, plants, flowers, animals and birds, as well as notions and souvenirs made from endangered plants and animals. The import of fresh food products without vacuum packaging.
Plants, animals and plant products must be submitted to quarantine officials. Pets must have a certificate of vaccination, as well as a medical certificate issued no earlier than 10 days prior to departure.
